It feels like just yesterday that we were setting off from Barcelona and heading north towards the Pyrenees, but we are home safe and sound having cycled the 1100 miles back to Stourbridge in 10 days.
Boys – Coops, Cola, Tim & Pinch – thank you for being a part of this very special challenge. Without your banter we would never have made it!
Girls – Alice, Hayley & Rach – the unsung heroes (heroines), thank you for all your support…. without you guys none of this would have been possible!
George & Alex – thank you for your support in England, the extra boost of morale and for all the sorting of the finishing line!
Last but not least, thank you to everyone who showed their support throughout this challenge, for helping us smash our £10K target and for being there at the finish line to cheer us in!
Time for sleep… looking forward to that lie in! Might give it a week or two before getting back on the bike! X
Horrible wet and windy start to the last day. Really not enjoyable cycling today. But last 70 miles after breakfast in Bicester (conveniently arranged by the girls).
So give the boys one final day of encouragement and SHOW US THE MONEY!!!.
A massive thanks to our European support without whom we could not have managed!!! Thank you ladies!!
Sorry for the lack of blogging today, being back on English soil unfortunately means poor Internet signal. An eventful day today it has to be said. George and Alex have done a great job of injecting some excitement into the group by managing to pass haribo’s through the windows if the car whilst travelling at 23mph. George’s driving has certainly been questioned multiple times today though!
Tim had a moment of road rage as a Londoner cut him up in a very big way – shame he couldn’t quite keep up with the car to give him a full piece of his mind!
And watch out for some photos of the group on the Internet as a stranger wished them all good luck for the olympics!
Big question for tomorrow – will Pinch manage to get through a single day without getting lost?!…
